I originally purchased this to use as a lip balm, and I was surprised at the size of the tube, it was much larger than I thought. You get a lot of product if you're using this mainly as a lip balm. Lucas’ Papaw Ointment™ is a little miracle skin treatment. According to the uses listed on the tube and the Lucas’ Papaw Remedies™ website, it can be used for “boils, burns, chafing, cuts, cracked skin, gravel rash, splinters, open wounds, insect bites, nappy rash, temporary relief for eczema, sunburn” and more. In my experience, this product has literally healed insect bites overnight. Because you can use this product for basically anything, I always like to have it on hand, and the tube is easy to travel with. It is slightly greasy, but moisturizing. It has a slight scent, which I think is the papaya in it. I absolutely love that this product has so many uses.
I contacted the company and they said this product contains no gluten. Among other ingredients, it contains pharmaceutical grade petroleum jelly and is made with pure Australian papaws.
This comes in a 25g tube, a 75g tub, a 200g tub, and now a new 15g tube with a lip applicator. All of these except the lip applicator tube are available for purchase at New London Pharmacy.
