I never paint my nails without applying a base coat because polishes used to almost always stain my nails when I would remove the color later after not applying one. This is one of the best base coats I have used. Why? Because the brush glides easily, the formula is smooth and not sticky like some primer coats can be, and it has such a soft, matte finish that it can be worn alone.
